significant storm damage in montgomery county. take a look at this video. a roof ripped off a building and trees toppled after powerful storm brew through the area. eyewitnesses are telling us what they saw just moments before the storm hit. alexandria hoff is live in the west conshohocken with the details. alex? >> let's talk about how powerful these winds were. it was enough to tear this roof off of this building, then toss it into the back corner of this parking lot. believe it or not there is a car underneath of that rubble. surrounded by plenty more. employees comb the parking lot of the materials technology company in west conshohocken after the roof of their building was torn from the base. debris crashing down on to cars. >> this comes straight on through. we were lucky that no one was injured at that time of day when people usually are coming out. >> reporter: none of the 23 employees inside at the time were injured. around 4:00 p.m., a security

guard reported seeing a tornado touch done >> i probably saw about 12 tornados. >> reporter: lou travels the country following tornados and contributes data as a volunteer for the national weather service. while it may have appeared tornadic, he says this likely was the result of straight line >> if the tornado hits debris gets tossed in many different directions. in this case, it's one direction, for the most part. >> reporter: no matter the source, high winds are devastating, around 4:00 in new castle delaware, a 50-year-old woman and a 17-year-old male were transported to the hospital after a tree crashed on to their car while at an intersection. both are in stable condition. just as intense as its arrival was its departure. chopper 3 caught a rainbow from overhead. as this storm signed off. some of the oh witnesses out here were adamant they saw a tornado. of course, for that to be confirmed, the national weather service would have to perform an official survey.

reporting live in west conshohocken, alexandria hoff cbs3 "eyewitness news." as we know, this storm was fast moving, packed a punch. let's go to meteorologist kate bilo who's giving us a closer look at the areas that saw the most damage >> this system is a large slow moving system but the actual heavy rain and storms came through very quickly so that was good news. cleared it on it this evening, the heaviest rain is off to the north. a few scattered showers mainly for portions of south jersey and delaware. i want to take you about to radar snapshot. this was some of the worst of the within and rain we saw this afternoon moving through the city of philadelphia and take a look at this little hook shape here. this right over conshohocken and west conshohocken, villanova area, that's where we saw that damage and right about the time we saw that damage occurred, so this is likely the cell that crossed that area ripping the roof off the building here. right along the blue route there 476.

a husband and wife accused of gifting their young daughters to a colt-like figure have entered pleas on child endangerment charges. she pleaded guilty today. her husband, david entered a no contest plea. the pair got financial help from lee kaplan after they broke with the amish faith. couple, nine daughters and two grandchildren were living with him. six of the couples daughters were sexual assaulted by kaplan and one daughter had two children with him. kaplan's trial is set to begin next month in bucks county. the murder trial of eric frein will continue tomorrow. it was briefly delayed after he was hospitalized. officials say he fell and hit his head while brushing his teeth, he has pleaded not guilty in the 2014 shooting death of state trooper corporal brian dixon also accused of wounding
